How do I invite Gary to come fishing with me?
Gary loves hearing from fans! Email him at [email protected] with the subject line “Come Fishing With Me!” and include the key details—location, preferred season, target species, whether it’s a boat or shore trip, available accommodations, and anything else he should know. He will see if he has any scheduled events that would make this trip with you possible!
Do you have a list of trusted captains or guides?
We’re working on putting together a list of Gary’s go-to captains and favorite fishing spots. In the meantime, check out Gary’s YouTube videos—he usually shares who he’s fishing with and the locations in the description. He is working on a directory of fishing guides he or some of his most trusted fishing friends have used. He will not recommend anyone he believes cannot give you a Trip of A Lifetime Experience!
What gear do you recommend?
Fishing is personal and location-based, so we always suggest chatting with your local tackle shop for advice on what works best in your area. Check out Gary’s YouTube videos for more recommendations. If you have watched his videos you know his Favorite rod and reel for lots of Species is the World Famous Zebco 33. He purchased over 300 Zebco Combos for FFA events and giveaways. He also regularly gives these away to beginner fishermen! He maintains a trailer with over 70 of them to take FFA Chapters on FFA FISHING DAY events. He loves his Penn Fathoms for bigger fish. Catfish Pro catfishing equipment is owned by a former FFA member and has given generous deals to Take Me Fishing Gary for donations for FFA events. Zebco has also given several rod and reel combos for donations.

How many giveaways do you do a year?
Gary runs giveaways throughout the year—usually around 10 to 20 times depending on the season and sponsor support. Keep an eye out for posts with the entry details! His Giveaways often include fishing trips, Zebco, Penn and Catfish Pro fishing equipment. He loves Bajio Sunglasses and has given numerous pairs of these away.
